It's pretty infuriating at this is my main messaging app. User Same issue with my wife's phone. She was having the problem on her Samsung Galaxy S7, we upgraded all of our phones to Samsung Galaxy S10 and it was working on the new phones until today. Hangouts doesn't update the conversations at all. If you open Hangouts, then open a specific conversation, then the application receives and shows the new messages in that conversation only, and not in any others.

You have to go into each conversation and open them one-by-one to see if you have any new, undelivered messages. This question is locked and replying has been disabled.
