In my opinion, the band gets the heart rate right at times, but there are also times when it misses it. For instance, in one second the band showed my heart rate to be 75bmp, while the next second the heart rate bumped to bmp. There was no movement or walking in between measuring the two heart rates.
Phone tracker app Xiaomi Mi 6
This is the smartest Mi Band ever. It shows more information compared to the Mi Band 2. Apart from showing notifications from different apps, and letting users deal with those notifications -- you can reject a call, check a message etc -- the Mi Band 3 also comes with additional features such as Find Your Phone. This feature lets users find their misplaced phone, if it is in the house, say for example lying in the folds on a sofa or under a pillow. The Mi Band 3 can be controlled using the MiFit app. Xiaomi has added a few new features to the MiFit app, but overall the application remains unchanged.
One of the most interesting features of the MiFit app according to me is the night mode which dims the display of the Mi Band automatically at sunset or during scheduled duration. Apart from the heart rate monitoring and calculating distanced walked or run, the Mi Band 3 also comes with sleep tracking feature which measures how good or bad is the users sleep pattern, a feature found only in very expensive health trackers or smart watches. In my three weeks of using the Mi Band 3, apart from slight inaccuracy at the heart rate reading, I found that the Mi Band 3 manages to capture fairly accurate data as far as the sleep and activity tracking are concerned.
The Mi Band 3 also vibrates and alerts users about alarms. In exercise mode, the Band 3 uses GPS data from the paired phone for better distance and heart rate tracking. The previous generation Mi Bands are well known for their "legendary" battery life. The scenario remains the same for the Mi Band 3. Xiaomi claims that one of the key highlights of the Mi Band 3 is its battery life.
The company says the M Band 3 is capable of lasting 20 days in a single charge. After using the Mi Band 3 for weeks now, I don't think Xiaomi's claim holds up but the battery life is decent enough.

It doesn't last for 20 days on single charge. The maximum it lasted for me was 8 days, that is, if only the phone wasn't frequently connected to the Band. In case the phone is connected and Bluetooth connection is always open between the device and the paired phone, and the notifications are coming thick and fast, the battery life of the Mi Band 3 is around 4 to 5 days. It's not bad, but it's not as great as the battery life that the Mi Band 2 offered. Guess you can't have everything. The Mi Band 3 has more features, and offers richer experience, but at the cost of a bit of battery life.
